- DF = C0/Cf = 1.00/0.050 = 20x

Common Mistakes to Avoid
Dilution factor = total final volume / initial volume. DF > 1 always for a dilution.
1:10 means 1 mL sample + 9 mL diluent = 10 mL total. DF=10. Not 1:9!
After applying dilution factor DF: Cf = C0/DF. This is equivalent to C1V1=C2V2.
